PRESS RELEASE: March 6, 2008
COMFORTABLE ENERGY EFFICEINT HOMES by Freedom Solar Energy
My name is Jim Price, the founder of Comfortable Energy Efficient Homes by Freedom Solar Energy
A Building Performance Institute Accredited Contractor with the Energy Star Program.
We want to be part of the Solution!
Our only mission is to make your homes more Comfortable Energy Efficient and less dependant on Fossil Fuels.
All the work our company performs with our Energy Star trained team, will pay for itself many times over for years to come.
The money you do not spend on Fossil Fuels will far exceed the cost of improvements we make to your Home.
We perform Energy Star Efficiency Testing
Install Energy Star Boilers that use 40% less Fuel than conventional boilers.
Install Energy Star Efficient Furnaces.
Install Blown in Insulation and Air Sealing.
Install Solar Hot Water and Heating Systems
Install Solar Electric Systems
Improving your homes Comfort and Energy Efficiency is the best investment you will
ever make without spending any more money than you are currently spending on Fossil Fuels.
This is the only Improvement I know of that pays for it self.
I can promise you improvement in Comfort with the benefit of lower Energy bills and a reduced carbon footprint.
When selecting a home; buyers have always placed a higher priority on the things they can see, like hard wood floors, Jacuzzi tubs, and Granite counter tops.
When most of your homes were built they were built for profit not Energy Efficiency at a time when oil prices were about $17 a barrel.
The insulation and heating systems installed were the lowest grade that would pass a code inspection.
Today oil is $106 a barrel. We need to improve the energy Efficiency of our homes as if oil were $300 a barrel oil.
Natural Gas has risen an average of about 7% per year for the last 35 years.
Home Heating Oil has risen about 9% a year on average for the last 30 years.
Electricity has risen about 5% a year on average over the last 30 years.
58% of a typical homes fuel consumption is spent on heating bills in New Jersey, about 19% is spent on Heating Domestic Hot Water, about 13% is spent on Refrigeration and appliances the remaining 10% for lighting.
It is just common sense to lower our biggest bill first;
Your Heating and hot water bill.
As an Accredited Building Performance Institute Contractor with Energy Star we participate in the New Jersey Clean Energy Program.
Through the New Jersey Clean Energy Program you can get substantial rebate incentives by having us improve the Comfort and Energy Efficiency of your Home.
To receive as much as a 50% rebate on the improvements that we make to your home you will need to have an Energy Evaluation performed.
The purpose of the Evaluation is to determine the current energy efficiency of your home as well as investigate any health and safety conditions that may need to be addressed.
Once we have determined the current levels of efficiency we can recommend and quote you on the most cost effective measures to give you the best value for your improvement dollar.
To get more detailed information you can go to our web site at www.EnergyStarHouses.com
The most important thing to remember is whomever you call in to make the Energy Improvements to your home they should be the same contractor doing the Energy Evaluation.
It makes no sense to have one person evaluate your home who will not perform the work and expect another company who has not evaluated your home to put forth a thorough cost effective proposal for the improvements.
The cost of an Energy Evaluation is about $500 for the average home; a little more for a home with multiple heating systems, or ducts in the attic or crawl space; a little less for town houses.
The only reason we charge for this evaluation is the amount of time it will take to evaluate, your home and put together the Comprehensive report.
If you need more information we do offer a FREE in home consultation prior to having your home tested and proceeding with the Full Energy Evaluation.
You can sign up for a FREE consultation at our web site: www.EnergyStarHouses.com or see us during the show.
I would like to introduce some customers and new freinds I met at this show 12 months ago
They wanted to be Part of the Solution!
Debbie from Jamesburg,
Ron and Elizabeth from Edison
Peter from North Bergen.
What these three people have to say is so much more important than anything I could say to any of you today.
We listened to their concerns, evaluated their homes, made recommendations, then fixed their homes.
Debbie from Jamesburg lives in a 2,000 square foot ranch and told me her heating system ran continuously, no heat came out of her ducts and she needed space heaters just to keep from freezing in her house with bills approaching $1000 per month.
In the summer her air conditioner ran 24 hours a day 7 days a week from May until September and she could never get the house below 85 degrees.
After we fixed her home this summer she told me her house reaches a comfortable 72 degrees; the air conditioning runs for 10 minutes then turns off for 20. She has put away the space heaters and recently shared her bills with me.
December 07 December 08
$686 $354 48% Reduction $332 Savings
January 07 January 08
$879 $350 60% Reduction $529 Savings
By the way Debbie still has her original heating and air conditioning system.
Debbie is Part of the Solution?
Ron and Elizabeth from Edison live in a 124 year old Ranch in Edison.
Ron told me last year he could fly a kite in his living room it was so drafty. Recently during a major windstorm he said he couldnt feel or hear the storm.
We finished Rons house the day before Thanks Giving. When we returned with the inspector on December 14th he advised me the heat had been off since the day we left and his house never went below 68 degrees.
The other day he told me the heat still rarely comes on and they are extremely comfortable.
Ron and Elizabeth are part of the Solution?
Peter from North Bergen lives in a 2,200 square foot cape cod. For years he could not cool or heat his second floor without the use of 4 electric space heaters and a second central air conditioning system. During our Energy testing we determined his chimney did not draft properly and was spilling flue gases into his living space.
If his boiler was producing Carbon Monoxide this condition could have been fatal to his entire family. Thank goodness we discovered the problem so it could be fixed without incident. After we completed the work Peter told me he now loves his house and the work we did for him.
Peter is part of the Solution?
These are the people who are making a difference and enjoying the Comfort and benefits of an Energy Efficient home. You need to interview these people and hear their stories. What they have to say is so important for the Future of our Children, our Nation and our Planet.
I encourage you to join Debbie, Ron, Elizabeth and Peter and Be part of the Solution!
